The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Elito circles away quickly and effectively.
ss throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Elito tumbling to the canvas!
It looks like Jose Elito has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Elito is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Elito stalks ss and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into ss's face. ss staggers backwards, shaken.
