Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jubei Akechi (ranked 1423 p4p, 1752 weight class) and Jeff Lee (ranked 139 p4p, 176 weight class). Lee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Doomsday Clock. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Jubei Akechi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Lee! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee with a jab. Akechi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lee's half guard. Lee is trying to control but Akechi manages to pass to mount!
Lee wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Lee wants to escape the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Akechi controlling well, preventing Lee from escaping the position.
Lee trying to control the position but Akechi manages to sink in the hooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Lee's face He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lee keeps trying to improve his position. Lee is still trying to improve position. Lee is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Lee tries to escape but Akechi has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Lee trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Akechi doesn't have the hooks in and Lee manages to turn into his guard.
Akechi has his hands on Lee's head, controlling the position. Lee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akechi keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Lee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lee is looking to stand up but Akechi won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee drops back, looking for a kneebar! Akechi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Akechi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Akechi! Akechi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lee's shoulder. That is not cool. Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Akechi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Akechi is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Akechi tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lee's legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akechi happy to just control the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Akechi tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Lee is trying to get back to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jubei Akechi dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Lee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Akechi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Akechi keeps the fight on the outside. Akechi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Akechi. Akechi misses with a wild body shot. Akechi blocks a jab. Akechi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Akechi thows a left - swing and a miss! Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Akechi off the cage and back into range. Lee pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akechi avoids the body shot from Lee.
Akechi tries to counter with a takedown but Lee is quick to defend against it. Lee scores with a crisp jab that stopped Akechi in his tracks. Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Akechi. Lee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jeff Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circling - Lee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Akechi's head. Jeff Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Lee tries to clinch up. Lee ducks right into an uppercut from Akechi. Akechi ducks under a wild hook from Lee. Lee with a hook. Akechi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Akechi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lee throws a head kick that Akechi semi-blocks.
Lee has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Akechi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Akechi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Akechi lands a nice shot that snaps Lee's head back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee scores with a jab to the jaw. Lee throws a nice head kick!
Akechi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Akechi is looking to counter punch. Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Lee looks to land a left hand but Akechi moved out of range nicely. Akechi misses with a looping right. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Akechi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Akechi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lee throws a hook to the side of Akechi's head but Akechi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Akechi throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Akechi tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.
Akechi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Lee might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Lee misses with a hook. Lee throws a head kick that misses and Akechi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee lands with a cross. Lee throws a body punch but Akechi moves out of range. Akechi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Lee keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Akechi. Lee looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Akechi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee. Akechi avoids the head kick by Lee.
Akechi misses the shot to the body. Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A slow jab from Akechi misses its intended target. Akechi digs a good body shot into Lee's ribs. Lee is breathing heavily. A slow jab from Lee misses its intended target. Lee misses with a kick to the body letting Akechi counter with a right hand. Akechi cracks Lee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Lee throws a head kick but Akechi moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akechi thows a left - swing and a miss! Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Akechi on that attempt. Akechi lands a left and a right that sends Lee crashing to the canvas! Akechi dives into mount looking to finish!
Lee is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Akechi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lee is still in real trouble! Can Akechi finish him? Lee is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lee tries to lock up and control but Akechi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lee seems to have recovered his senses. Akechi controlling the position easily from mount. Akechi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jubei Akechi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Akechi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lee. Akechi blocks a head kick by Lee.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akechi manages to avoid it. Akechi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lee sprawls and moves away. Jeff Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lee scores with a head kick. Akechi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Akechi moves out of range of the strikes. Akechi misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. Akechi avoids the body shot from Lee.

Lee throws a head kick that misses. Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lee wants to clinch up but Akechi keeps it at a distance. Lee lands with a straight right. Akechi didn't see that one coming. Akechi cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Akechi moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Lee goes down! Can Akechi finish him!?

Akechi is not going to allow Lee to sit and survive in this position. Akechi keeps control of the position easily here as Lee tries to buck him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lee can't escape the position.
Jubei Akechi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Jubei Akechi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Akechi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
