Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent The Vandal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Vandal kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bullet For My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire. Lima has chosen Enter Sandman, Metallica as his entrance music. Fabio Lima told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Lima.
Lima wants to clinch up but The Vandal keeps it at a distance.
The Vandal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lima throws the kick towards the body but The Vandal avoids it.
The Vandal swats away the attempt to clinch by Lima.
Lima shoots for a double leg takedown but The Vandal sprawls well. He's pushed Lima's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lima throws a head kick but The Vandal moves out of range.
Lima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but The Vandal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The Vandal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The Vandal feints and then cracks Lima's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lima down.

Lima seems to have recovered his senses.
The Vandal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Vincent The Vandal just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Vincent The Vandal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Lima.
