Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Master Petrov (ranked 2968 p4p, 2068 weight class) and Spinning Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Master Petrov ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spinning Fire! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fire looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Petrov is fending him off so far but Fire persists. Nope, Petrov circles away and we're back to standing. Petrov throws a body punch but Fire moves out of range. Fire with the counter takedown but Petrov avoids it easily. Petrov misses with a left hand and Fire counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fire looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Petrov leaves Fire with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Master Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spinning Fire. Fire takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrov tries to avoid it but Fire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrov to the ground. Petrov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Petrov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Petrov scores with a jab. Fire acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Fire slips a jab and a cross from Petrov .
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Petrov . That's going to slow Fire down. Petrov misses the jab. And Fire tries to counter it with a takedown but Petrov pushes his down on his head and steps out. Petrov looks to land a right hand but Fire moved out of range. Petrov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fire. Petrov 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fire under the eye. Petrov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fire counters with a nice double leg into side control. Petrov won't be happy with that. Fire works to advance to full mount. Petrov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Petrov regains half guard. Petrov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fire controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petrov tries to roll over but Fire keeps him under control. Fire drops an elbow to the side of Petrov 's head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fire lands a nice short elbow. Petrov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fire on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petrov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Petrov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fire scores with a couple of nice shots. Fire looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petrov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fire is taking a breather. Petrov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Petrov looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Fire is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Fire working the head and body with strikes. Nice strikes from Fire there. Petrov looking for submissions off his back. Petrov is breathing heavily. Fire scoring with strikes to the body and head. Fire looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fire is pressing down on Petrov 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Petrov is holding on for now. Fire takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fire is taking a breather. Petrov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Petrov is looking to improve his position.
Fire is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Petrov moves into full guard.
Petrov wants to sweep here but Fire controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fire landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fire sitting in guard here, content to control. Petrov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fire can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fire's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fire distracts Petrov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fire slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Fire lands a couple of digs. Fire controlling from the top position. Fire told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Petrov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fire defends well. Petrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fire gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Master Petrov will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Fire ducks under a wild hook from Petrov . Fire clinches up against the cage. Petrov working aggressively here.
Fire blocks an uppercut.
Petrov swings wildly with an uppercut but Fire uses good head movement to avoid it. Petrov with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Fire is trying to pull guard but Petrov has him pressed against the cage. Fire fails to pull guard.
Petrov misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head punch blocked on the inside by Fire. Nice body punch from Petrov - that landed with a thud.
Petrov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Petrov .
That's one minute gone in the round. Fire goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petrov prevents it.
Master Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spinning Fire. Fire is trying to drag Petrov to the mat but Petrov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Fire blocks an elbow strike from Petrov .
Petrov tries to work over Fire's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Petrov . Fire is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Petrov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Petrov lands on the inside with an uppercut. Fire tries for a takedown but Petrov manages to get underhooks.

Fire drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petrov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Petrov thows a left - swing and a miss! Fire tries to close the distance and clinch up but Petrov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Petrov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fire slips a straight right by Petrov . Spinning Fire is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Petrov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Fire closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fire lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fire is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Petrov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fire with a nice head shot there. Fire seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Petrov looking for a guillotine here but Fire defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fire controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fire is continuing to stall. Petrov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fire lands a couple of elbows. Fire has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fire controls from within his opponent's guard. Fire chips away with some ground and pound. Spinning Fire has got the better of the ground game so far. Petrov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fire showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Petrov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fire is aware though and is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fire postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fire stands up over Petrov , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fire is stalling in the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Master Petrov dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Fire wants to clinch. Petrov looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Petrov enables Fire to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Petrov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fire is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Petrov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fire has managed to get both his arms back between Petrov 's legs - danger averted. Fire postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fire postures up and lands a big shot to Petrov 's brow.
Petrov is rocked! Fire is stalling in the full guard. Oh Petrov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fire gets to his feet and stands over Petrov , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Petrov felt that one! Fire unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Petrov from any more punishment!
