Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cross (ranked 191 p4p, 2000 weight class) and Marcel Clay (ranked 20 p4p, 242 weight class). Cross's entrance music is Folk Metal. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross misses with a jab, cross combination.
A slow jab from Clay misses its intended target.
Clay bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Clay ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cross scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cross avoids the head kick by Clay.
Clay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cross misses with a hook. Clay ducked under it nicely.
Cross misses with an uppercut
and Clay counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Jeremy Cross has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Clay! But no joy.
Cross looks to land a left hand but Clay moved out of range nicely.
Cross swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cross. Clay does a little dance to reset his feet.

A nice inside leg kick there by Cross. That's going to slow Clay down.
Cross lands with a hook. Clay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Clay takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cross slips a straight right by Clay.
No joy there for Clay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Cross sets himself, and Clay steps forward looking for the clinch! Cross avoids it this time.
Cross takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Clay takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crunch! Cross slams his shin into Clay's torso.

Cross lands a big right hand that sends Clay crashing to the mat! Cross stays standing though and waves Clay back to his feet!

Clay is rocked!

It looks like Marcel Clay has been cut.
Cross drops Clay with a big left hand! Clay is injured, injured bad! Cross jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
