Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23685 p4p, 23636 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 42 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 44 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Buktot! Buktot can't do much from the bottom here. Buktot is trying to improve his position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. You can see the frustration on Buktot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok throws a strike aimed at the side of Buktot's head but Buktot avoids it well. Bitok is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Buktot's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot wants to control but Bitok postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bitok gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buktot counters with a nice body kick.
Bitok drives through with a takedown into Buktot's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Buktot trying to keep a closed guard but Bitok is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bitok controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Buktot has control of Bitok's left arm, preventing Bitok from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Buktot pulls Bitok in to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Buktot as Bitok shoots in. Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bitok gets the takedown into side control. Bitok working away. Buktot is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bitok moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Buktot is looking to reverse the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kulata Bitok dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Nice sprawl there from Bitok as Buktot shoots in. Buktot misses the shot to the body. Bitok is trying to counter with his kicks. Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Bitok counters with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok leaves Buktot with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buktot sprawls well. Buktot wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bitok gets slowly back to his feet. Bitok closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Buktot to the mat! Buktot manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bitok is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Buktot looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bitok looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buktot shoots in and gets a takedown into Bitok's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok is pulling down on Buktot's head. It's preventing any offense from Buktot, at least for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kulata Bitok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Buktot has his takedown stuffed and Bitok counters with a body kick that stops Buktot in his tracks momentarily. Bitok shoots in but no luck this time. Buktot tries to counter with a takedown but Bitok is quick to defend against it. Bitok gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buktot counters with a good, hard body kick but Bitok shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bitok sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buktot's guard. Buktot being controlled here, momentarily. Buktot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bitok is one step ahead there. Bitok is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot is trying to hold Bitok in close to prevent damage but Bitok has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot is trying is best to control the position here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buktot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bitok swivels and escapes. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown attempt by Buktot or perhaps it was just good defense by Bitok, which made it look bad. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bitok closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Buktot did well to prevent Bitok getting side control. Dawindi Buktot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kulata Bitok is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bitok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bitok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
