This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Chad Strdoza! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Desi Kraag! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Kraag tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Strdoza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kraag fails in his attempt to clinch. Kraag forces Strdoza back against the ropes and clinches. Kraag tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Strdoza smiles and moves away.
Kraag closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kraag prevents the takedown attempt.
Strdoza tries to pull guard but Kraag won't allow it.
Kraag tries to pull guard but Strdoza forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Kraag fails to pull guard.
Chad Strdoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desi Kraag. Strdoza drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kraag gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kraag pulls Strdoza into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strdoza trying to control but Kraag is working from the bottom. Strdoza works a leg free and moves into half guard. Strdoza prevents Kraag from improving his position. Kraag looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Strdoza pushes past his half guard into mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Strdoza (3) vs (0) Kraag Kraag tries to hold on but Strdoza postures up. Strdoza quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Strdoza but it's paid off an Kraag is forced to tap! Nice work by Strdoza.
