Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Haiden Surz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Parker! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Surz throws a leg kick which misses Parker's front leg but catches the back leg as Parker tries to avoid it. Parker clinches up against the cage. Parker tries for a takedown. No joy.
Surz tries to break free but Parker pushes him back against the cage. Parker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Surz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Surz's face as he tries to break the clinch. Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Surz looks to land a left hand but Parker moved out of range nicely. Parker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Surz changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Haiden Surz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Parker. Surz fails with the takedown and Parker counters with a crisp one two that drops Surz! Parker thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Surz to his feet! Surz is in big trouble!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker with a poor takedown and Surz counters with a big head kick but Parker shrugs it off. Surz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It appears Surz was looking to counter with a kick there. Surz throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Parker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Surz pinned against the cage. Surz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Parker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Surz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parker somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker throws a nice looking combination but Surz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Surz.
Parker looks like he wants to counter punch here. Surz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Surz looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Parker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Surz counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Parker is lucky that one didn't land flush. Parker looks winded! Surz tries to clinch there but Parker circles away.
Parker is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Surz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Surz pushes Parker away with a front kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker takes a kick to the side of the head. Parker tries to work over Surz's front leg with a kick but Surz checks it. John Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Surz misses with a body shot. Surz is looking to wear down Parker with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Parker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Surz. Surz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Surz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
