Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ines Lato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John James! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lato lands with a cross. Nice shot by Lato. Jab from Lato. Lato dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Lato is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James. James is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Lato lands a straight punch to the body, keeping James at a distance.
Lato takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lato misses with a wild body shot. Nice shot by Lato. Lato scores with a hook to the body. James takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lato fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. James looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. This has been an exciting period of action! Lato misses with a body shot.
James tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Lato swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Nice cross by Lato. Lato connects with a single shot there. James ducks under a wild hook from Lato. Lato digs a good body shot into James's ribs. Ines Lato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lato scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lato's jab looks to have found its range, popping James under the eye. James takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lato lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand. James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A cross from Lato lands. A slow jab from Lato misses its intended target. Lato throws a sloppy body shot
and Lato is countered with a crisp right hand from James that sends him to the canvas! James follows him to the mat into side control.
Lato is rocked! James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lato has escaped the position, nice work there. James tries for a kimura but Lato is defending well. James has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lato is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. James yanks on the arm and Lato is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by James.
