This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 67 wins and 36 losses; Bogdan Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 36 wins and 42 losses; Long Wang! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Wang closes the distance and clinches. Kersikov tries to pull guard but Wang won't allow it.
Wang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kersikov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kersikov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kersikov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wang has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Wang gets a bonus point for attempting more subs. Wang wins on points by 7 to 6. After winning the bout, Long Wang thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. |
