The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and James Glass.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kersikov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Kersikov working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on McDonald's thigh. McDonald counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Kersikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McDonald pulls Kersikov in close to prevent any damage.

Kersikov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McDonald is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

McDonald is looking for a sweep. Kersikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

McDonald is holding on to half guard well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kersikov wants to pass the guard but McDonald is defending well.

Kersikov is fighting to break McDonald's control of his arms but McDonald is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kersikov takes the fight on points by 2 to 0.
After winning the bout, Volodymyr Kersikov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
