Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1840 p4p, 24611 weight class) and Alan West (ranked 250 p4p, 586 weight class). Shima kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Alan West looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan West!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima with a jab.
West looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Shima has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shima lands a right hand that snaps the head of West backwards.
Shima lands with a right to the head.
Shima cracks West with a nice body shot.

West pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shima darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
West is trying to escape back to his feet but Shima uses the scramble to pass into side control.

West is rocked!
West is still in real trouble! Can Shima finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shima controls the position.
West seems to have recovered his senses.

Shima seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down West for as long as he can get away with.

Shima is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there.

Shima content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Shima manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

West is trying to break the clinch but Shima is controlling him.

We've been informed that West has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Shima digs a right hand into West's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on West's gas tank.

West gets tackled into the cage by Shima. Shima maintains the clinch.
Shima has West pushed against the cage.
Shima's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Shima for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
West goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Shima is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that West can do to turn this around?
Shima lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Shima presses West against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Shima has clasped his hands together around West's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Shima has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tetsuo Shima dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Alan West's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Shima throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shima lands a really nice looking cross but West seems unphased.
Shima plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends West swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! West face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tetsuo Shima!
A very excited looking Tetsuo Shima made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
