Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Knut Kroger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Vedhult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vedhult has chosen Swedish army orchestra - Beneath our banner as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Knut Kroger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ragnar Vedhult! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vedhult shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Vedhult is looking to take a break and control but Kroger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vedhult wants to free his trapped foot but Kroger is holding on for dear life with his legs. Vedhult is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vedhult wants to take a breather but Kroger is having none of it. Kroger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vedhult on the ground. Vedhult sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kroger defending well though. Kroger regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Vedhult. Vedhult pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kroger is keeping the position for now. Kroger wants to stand but Vedhult is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vedhult looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kroger misses with a double jab
and Vedhult counters by moving into the clinch. Kroger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vedhult throws a nice looking combination but Kroger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kroger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vedhult circles away quickly and effectively. Vedhult gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Vedhult gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kroger regains guard.
Kroger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kroger working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vedhult. Kroger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kroger is looking to stand up but Vedhult isn't so interested in that idea. Vedhult looking to sit in guard and control but Kroger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kroger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vedhult had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kroger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vedhult Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kroger's back instead. Vedhult tries to keep control of the position but Kroger is staying busy. Kroger holding both Vedhult 's hands and preventing any damage. Kroger is trying to defend against the choke here but Vedhult has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Vedhult Tightens the hold and Kroger taps out furiously! Vedhult displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
