Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perkunas Dievas (ranked 5471 p4p, 24818 weight class) and Nikolai Vartescu (ranked 201 p4p, 272 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nikolai Vartescu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Vartescu!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vartescu throws a big shot that misses.
Vartescu misses with a head kick.
Vartescu defending well as Dievas loads up on a big left hand.
A big right from Vartescu misses.
Dievas scores with a jab to the body.
Dievas misses with a body shot.
Dievas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dievas throws the left hand but Vartescu avoids the punch easily.
It seemed like Vartescu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dievas lands a jab to Vartescu's midsection.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Vartescu looks winded!
A telegraphed right hand from Vartescu misses the target.
Dievas throws a jab when Vartescu was well out of range.
Dievas lands with a shot to the body.
Dievas punishes Vartescu's body with a nice straight punch.
Dievas sends Vartescu crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dievas is motioning to the referee to let Vartescu up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Nikolai Vartescu has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dievas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vartescu sprawling to the canvas! Vartescu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dievas finish him?!
Vartescu is rocked!
Vartescu leaves his chin hanging out and Dievas seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Vartescu crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Perkunas Dievas!
