The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilesdon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bacia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've been told by Bacia's head coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bacia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bacia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bilesdon.

Bilesdon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bilesdon is looking to stand up but Bacia won't let him.

enabling Bacia to counter with a crisp jab.

Bacia darts in and clinches Bilesdon up against the cage.

Bacia lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bilesdon.

Bilesdon wants to break free but Bacia has control.
Nice body punch from Bacia - that landed with a thud.
Bilesdon is looking for a takedown.
Bilesdon is trying to pull guard but Bacia has him pressed against the cage.
Mabuz Bacia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omnicron Bilesdon.

The referee calls for Bacia to work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bacia swings wildly with an uppercut but Bilesdon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bilesdon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bacia.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mabuz Bacia will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Bacia lands a left and a right that send Bilesdon crashing to the mat, dazed. Bacia thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bilesdon is rocked!

It looks like Omnicron Bilesdon has been cut.
Bilesdon leaves his chin hanging out and Bacia seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Bilesdon crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
