The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn tries to clinch up but Howard circles away and keeps his distance.

Howard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gunn is bucking up trying to escape but Howard cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Gunn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Howard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
