Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Ezumi (ranked 3234 p4p, 2345 weight class) and Jinjing Yan (ranked 142 p4p, 93 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryu Ezumi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jinjing Yan!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ezumi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yan.
Yan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Ezumi clinches up with Yan and pushes him back against the cage.
Yan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Knees in the clinch landing for Yan.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Yan digs a right hand into Ezumi's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ezumi's gas tank.
Ezumi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Ezumi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ezumi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ezumi misses with a leg kick
and Yan counters with a nice body kick.
Jinjing Yan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ezumi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Yan holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Yan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

A close round but Jinjing Yan will probably get the nod.

Yan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ezumi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

And Yan tries to counter it with a takedown but Ezumi pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yan is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Ezumi gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Yan is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Ezumi is your winner!

A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Ryu Ezumi made sure he mentioned Senshi Fight Gear, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
Jinjing Yan was interviewed post fight and said 'Knee How Ma? ...Ma...How!?!?!'.
