Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Jackson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clark tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clark to the ground. Clark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Clark misses with a looping left.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clark, pushing him back against the cage.

Jackson decides to pull guard.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Clark pushes his legs off easily.
Clark trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackson's guard.

Jackson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Clark has picked Jackson up and slammed him! Jackson can't keep hold of the triangle and Clark manages to pass to side control!
Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clark decides to stand back up. Clark steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.
Ryan Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clark dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A big left from Clark misses.

Jackson closes the distance and pushes Clark back into the cage.
Clark is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jackson jumps guard but Clark stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Clark is trying to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling him.
Clark wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.

Clark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clark misses with a head kick.
Clark misses with a series of wild punches.

Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Clark sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Clark pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Jackson is pressing down on Clark's thigh, looking to free his foot. Clark is holding on for now.

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Clark defends the submission attempt.
Jackson wants to pass to mount but Clark is defending the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clark wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
Clark throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Clark takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ryan Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clark but Clark pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ryan Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Jackson.
Jackson dives in and grabs Clark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.
Clark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jackson looks gassed!
Clark tries a low kick but Jackson avoids it.
Jackson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Clark swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jackson.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Clark.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
Clark scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Clark.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Clark dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Clark lands a nice looking body shot.
Clark takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Clark keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Clark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Jackson is rocked!
Clark looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Clark finish him?
Clark does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Clark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Clark lands a jab to the head.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Clark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Clark breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Clark attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Clark has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Ryan Clark is winning the standup battle so far.
Jackson drops his hands momentarily and Clark takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Clark connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clark lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jackson shoots for a takedown but Clark saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Clark cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clark lands with a right hand.
Jackson walks straight into a right hand from Clark - that's dropped him! Clark jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jackson from any more punishment! Jackson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ryan Clark!
