Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Destin Craven (ranked 2003 p4p, 2361 weight class) and Great Tiger (ranked 139 p4p, 160 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Destin Craven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 33 - 52 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Great Tiger! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick lands for Tiger.
Craven gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tiger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've been hearing reports that Craven has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Craven uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tiger. Tiger takes a swing at Craven's ribcage but misses. Craven lands a slapping body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Tiger. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tiger. Craven scores with a nice head shot. Tiger is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Craven. Tiger walks into a stiff left hand from Craven. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tiger missing with a left hand there. Craven was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Craven displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tiger. Craven scores with a body shot.
Craven feints and then cracks Tiger's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tiger down. A telegraphed right hand from Craven misses the target. Tiger throws a jab when Craven was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Craven shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tiger napping and manages to drive through into side control! Craven tries for a kimura but Tiger is defending well. Tiger struggling a bit here. Craven tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tiger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Craven cracks Tiger with a big right hand but Tiger just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Craven takes a little break here. Tiger wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Craven trying to control the position but Tiger is working away. Craven looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tiger tries to control but Craven manages to take his back. Craven has the hooks in. Tiger is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Tiger takes a big shot to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tiger showing good submission defense here.
Tiger wants to control his opponent's hands but Craven gets his hands free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Craven lands shots from the back. Craven biding his time, controlling Tiger. Tiger covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Craven is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tiger has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Craven has the hooks in. Tiger is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tiger grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Craven is cranking Tiger's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Tiger! He's tightened the choke and Tiger is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Destin Craven! Destin Craven decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
