Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benson Beckley (ranked 1422 p4p, 2226 weight class) and Dwalin Broadaxe (ranked 119 p4p, 179 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benson Beckley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwalin Broadaxe! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckley throws a head kick that misses and Broadaxe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Beckley pushes Broadaxe off but Broadaxe dives into side control.
Beckley is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Broadaxe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Beckley down.
Broadaxe landing strikes. Beckley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Broadaxe has just dragged him back down to the mat. Beckley tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Broadaxe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Beckley pushes Broadaxe away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Broadaxe gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beckley regains half guard. Beckley on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Beckley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Broadaxe is on him like a limpet, forcing Beckley back against the cage. Broadaxe wants to take the fight to the mat but Beckley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Beckley trying to land knees to the body.
Beckley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Benson Beckley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwalin Broadaxe. Beckley is trying to break the clinch but Broadaxe is controlling him. Beckley misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Broadaxe.
Broadaxe tries to score a body lock takedown but Beckley shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Broadaxe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beckley is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beckley jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beckley is looking for a triangle but Broadaxe pushes his legs off easily.
Broadaxe wants to control from the top but Beckley keeps moving. Beckley looking for a guillotine here but Broadaxe defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Broadaxe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Beckley working for submissions but it's allowed Broadaxe to get to half guard.
Broadaxe moves nicely into side control. Broadaxe tries for a kimura but Beckley is defending well. Broadaxe is working Beckley over with some ground and pound from side control. Broadaxe cracks Beckley with a big right hand but Beckley just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Broadaxe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Beckley looks calm but he's in trouble here. Broadaxe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Beckley is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Broadaxe lets go of the hold and Beckley can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dwalin Broadaxe! Dwalin Broadaxe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
