Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ivan bad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gio Naza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bad fails to land with a series of punches.
Naza slips a jab from bad.
bad stalks Naza and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Naza's face. Naza staggers backwards, shaken.
bad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Naza tries to avoid it but bad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Naza to the ground. Naza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Naza fails with the takedown
and bad counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Naza is lucky that one didn't land flush.
bad shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Naza's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Naza tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Naza striking off his back but it's not causing bad any problems.
Naza wants to sweep but no luck.
Naza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. bad manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Naza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Naza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

bad bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Naza's guard.
bad would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Naza will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

bad is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Naza throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Naza lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for bad!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Naza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as bad is looking to escape.

Naza is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. bad can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Naza is landing with some decent strikes but bad is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
bad is rocked!
Naza unloads with some vicious shots from mount and bad wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Naza celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
