Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dodge Schotel (ranked 1457 p4p, 3129 weight class) and Binsar Siregar (ranked 201 p4p, 374 weight class). Schotel comes to the cage accompanied by Inner Circle - Games People Play. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dodge Schotel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Binsar Siregar! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schotel scoring well with a low kick there.
A bone on bone clash there as Siregar blocks the leg kick.
Good leg kick by Schotel. Schotel tries to keep at a distance but Siregar has taken the fight into the clinch. Schotel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Schotel misses with a wild body shot. Siregar moves out of range of the leg kick from Schotel. Siregar tries to clinch there but Schotel circles away.

and Siregar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schotel throws a sloppy head kick and Siregar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Schotel manages to escape and get back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schotel has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Schotel throws a leg kick and Siregar counters with a shoot takedown. Schotel fights it but they end up in guard. Schotel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siregar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schotel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Schotel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Siregar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. He's now in the guard on the top. Siregar pulls Schotel in close to prevent any damage. Schotel won't allow Siregar to sweep him here. Schotel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Schotel throws a lazy head kick and Siregar counters with a single leg into guard. Schotel didn't expect that. Siregar throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Siregar tries to free his leg and advance position but Schotel is retaining full guard. Siregar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Schotel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Siregar with a flurry of punches that miss. Siregar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schotel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Siregar trying to control but Schotel is working from the bottom. Siregar with a nice head shot there. Schotel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Siregar. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schotel is on top in guard.
Schotel is looking to stand up but Siregar won't let him. Schotel trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siregar looking for a sweep. Not yet Siregar, not yet. Schotel wanted to stand there but Siregar had control of the position. Siregar wants to sweep here but Schotel controlling him for the moment. Siregar wriggles free and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schotel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Siregar pushes Schotel up against the cage in a clinch. Siregar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schotel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Siregar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Schotel fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Siregar darts in looking for a takedown but Schotel gets double underhooks and turns Siregar into the cage. Dodge Schotel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Binsar Siregar. Schotel shoots in and drives through. Siregar sprawls well. Siregar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Schotel can pounce on him.
Schotel misses with a wild body shot. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Siregar! But no joy. A leg kick checked by Siregar. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dodge Schotel will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Schotel swinging wildly here.

Schotel misses with a leg kick and Siregar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schotel's guard. Siregar postures up in Schotel's guard and throws a big left but Schotel blocks it. Siregar stopping the sweep attempt from Schotel. Siregar with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schotel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Siregar's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Siregar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Siregar looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Siregar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Schotel gets to his feet. Siregar looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Siregar tries to clinch up but Schotel circles away and keeps his distance. Schotel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Left hook, right uppercut from Siregar. Schotel misses with a body kick. Siregar fails with the takedown and Schotel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dodge Schotel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Binsar Siregar. Schotel throws a head kick that misses.

and Siregar counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schotel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dodge Schotel dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Siregar with the ground and pound but Schotel uses the opportunity to regain guard. Siregar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Siregar trying to control but Schotel is working from the bottom. Siregar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Siregar looking to sit in guard and control but Schotel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Siregar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schotel swivels and escapes. Schotel throws a nice looking combination but Siregar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Schotel misses with a few strikes there.
Siregar looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Schotel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Schotel explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Schotel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Siregar. Dodge Schotel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Binsar Siregar. A head kick misses from Schotel. A jab from Schotel misses. Siregar wants to clinch up but Schotel keeps it at a distance. Schotel appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schotel misses with a straight right. Siregar tries a quick counter leg kick but Schotel is wise to it. Schotel clinches. Schotel is looking to break free of the clinch but Siregar has double underhooks. Schotel breaks the clinch.
Schotel swings away with a leg kick that misses. Schotel lands an overhand right. Schotel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Siregar can do to turn this around? Schotel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Siregar is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Schotel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dodge Schotel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Siregar tries to clinch but Schotel moves out of range. Binsar Siregar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Siregar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dodge Schotel showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schotel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
