Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Shawty (ranked 4541 p4p, 4334 weight class) and Roger Johnson (ranked 292 p4p, 283 weight class). Shawty comes to the cage accompanied by G Friend. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Shawty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Johnson! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shawty tries to sprawl but Johnson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Shawty has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Shawty is looking to improve his position.
Johnson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shawty looking to control.
Shawty looking for a sweep. Not yet Shawty, not yet. Shawty pulls Johnson in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shawty, up you get! Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and Shawty moves out of range easily. Shawty changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Johnson closes the distance and pushes Shawty back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lands a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shawty is on top in guard.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Shawty controlling him for the moment. Shawty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Shawty works to advance to full mount. Johnson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Shawty looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Johnson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Shawty. Shawty has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shawty working for a submission but Johnson is keeping him at bay. Shawty with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
