The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws out a loose jab but Marx uses good head movement to avoid it.
Payne looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Payne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A head kick misses from Payne.
Marx definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Payne misses with a hook. Marx ducked under it nicely.
Payne drops his hands momentarily and Marx takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Payne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marx circles away quickly and effectively.
Payne throws a looping overhand right but Marx ducks down to avoid it.
Marx avoids the head kick by Payne.
No joy there for Marx, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Payne on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Payne doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Payne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marx manages to avoid it.
Marx scores with a one two! Payne had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Max Payne has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick misses from Payne.
Marx's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Marx duly obliges.
Marx comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Payne looks winded!
Marx lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Marx fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Despite the aggression on Payne's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Payne swinging wildly here.
Max Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marx lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Payne fails to land with a series of punches.
Marx goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That has opened up Max Payne's cut even more.
Marx lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Payne can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Marx and Payne drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Marx.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Marx!
