Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teofil Gielgud (ranked 1519 p4p, 2232 weight class) and Peter Rate (ranked 166 p4p, 249 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gielgud might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Witajcie W Naszej Bajce. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Teofil Gielgud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Rate!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rate closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gielgud cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Peter Rate has been cut.
Rate fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rate tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gielgud cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rate fails to land with a series of punches.
A little feinted left hand from Gielgud on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gielgud keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rate is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gielgud moves into range and connects with a jab.
That has opened up Peter Rate's cut even more.
Gielgud circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gielgud counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rate tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rate takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A big right from Gielgud misses.
Gielgud dips to his left and cracks Rate with an uppercut!
The cut above Peter Rate's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rate tries to close the distance and clinch but Gielgud swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rate doesn't manage to clinch there - Gielgud circles away.
A jab from Gielgud misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rate throws a right hand that misses
and Gielgud cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gielgud lands a big right hand that sends Rate crashing to the mat! Gielgud stays standing though and waves Rate back to his feet!
Rate is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peter Rate's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Teofil Gielgud!
