The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilao scores with a head kick. Rex tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rex tries to close the distance and clinch but Pilao swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pilao throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rex sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pilao throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rex counters with a nice body shot.
Pilao dips to his left and cracks Rex with an uppercut!
Pilao throws a sloppy head kick and Rex moves out of range easily.
Pilao uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rex.

Pilao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rex sprawls well initially but Pilao persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pilao gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Pilao tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Rex is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Pilao buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Pilao!! Pilao is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Rex throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lingo Rex!
