Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Hanselman (ranked 4877 p4p, 2811 weight class) and Glass Joe Jr (ranked 265 p4p, 197 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Joe Jr's choice of entrance music: Punch Out Theme. Glass Joe Jr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stevie Hanselman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glass Joe Jr! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanselman ducks right into an uppercut from Joe Jr. Hanselman moves away from the strike by Joe Jr. Hanselman with a lazy takedown attempt and Joe Jr counters with a left to the body. Joe Jr stuffs the takedown. Hanselman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Joe Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hanselman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hanselman lands in his opponent's guard. Joe Jr wants to improve his position but Hanselman is controlling well.
Hanselman is nestled in close to Joe Jr, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hanselman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Joe Jr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hanselman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe Jr has one of Hanselman's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
