PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leopold Strauss (ranked 1933 p4p, 5224 weight class) and Ali Maskhadov (ranked 140 p4p, 274 weight class). Maskhadov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Ali Maskhadov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strauss on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Strauss pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

It looks like Ali Maskhadov has been cut.
Strauss is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maskhadov.
Maskhadov is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Strauss with a body shot.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strauss creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Strauss creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Maskhadov's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Maskhadov drops to his knees and Strauss pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A relieved looking Leopold Strauss thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
