Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Landon Cox (ranked 24664 p4p, 3577 weight class) and Farao Marao (ranked 506 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Landon Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Farao Marao!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marao leaves Cox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Marao dives in and grabs Cox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cox pushes down on Marao's head and hops out.
Cox stuffs the takedown attempt from Marao. Marao gets slowly back to his feet.

Marao feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marao keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cox's head.
Cox wants to stand up but Marao is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marao is looking to advance position but Cox has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Cox wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Marao is looking to improve his position but Cox isn't that keen on the idea.
Cox wants to control but instead Marao manages to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cox content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Marao has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cox should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Marao has tightened it up now! Cox should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
