Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Menendez (ranked 4216 p4p, 3916 weight class) and Xavier Dayton (ranked 444 p4p, 434 weight class). Menendez comes to the cage accompanied by Kurt Angle Theme. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, AJ Menendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Dayton!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menendez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dayton's guard.
Menendez looking to sit in guard and control but Dayton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dayton tries to stand but Menendez is controlling from the bottom.
Menendez pushes Dayton off and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dayton lands a big head kick that sends Menendez tumbling to the mat! Dayton takes a step backwards and waves Menendez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Menendez is rocked!
It looks like AJ Menendez has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dayton throws a powerful right kick. Menendez tried to block low but the kick was high! Menendez was taken right off of his feet! Dayton jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
