Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kristoph Kringle (ranked 1134 p4p, 2633 weight class) and Mabuz Bacia (ranked 124 p4p, 281 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mabuz Bacia was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kristoph Kringle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mabuz Bacia! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bacia tries to clinch up but Kringle circles away and keeps his distance. Kringle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bacia lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kringle jabs Bacia to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bacia throws a lazy uppercut
and Kringle counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bacia misses with a straight right. Kringle feinted there with a counter leg kick. Bacia swings for the body but Kringle moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - Bacia throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A shot to the liver by Bacia. Beautiful body shot. Bacia takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacia loads up on a big right hand but Kringle slips the punch. Kringle fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bacia just manages to avoid it. Kringle lands with a nice body kick. Bacia clinches. Bacia lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kringle backwards. Bacia throws a punch but it's blocked by Kringle. Nice body punch from Bacia - that landed with a thud.
Kringle gets through Bacia's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bacia tries to throw a body punch but Kringle avoids it by throwing Bacia back against the cage. Bacia misses with a short punch on the inside. Kringle blocks a body shot from Bacia. Kringle doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A short right from Kringle on the inside. A short left from Kringle. Kringle lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bacia or not. Kringle working hard to break the clinch.

Bacia misses with a straight right. As Bacia looks to move away, Kringle throws a big counter combo but Bacia just gets out of the way. Mabuz Bacia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! A leg kick checked by Kringle. Kringle thinks about countering with a body kick. Kringle throws a right hand that Bacia ducks under and follows up with a left that Bacia also avoids with ease. Kringle swings widly with a right hand
and Bacia counters with a slapping leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Kringle. Kringle checks a leg kick. Bacia clinches. Kringle is looking to control Bacia's arms but Bacia gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kringle has his back to the cage. Kringle blocking some punches.
Kringle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kringle looks to score with a jab to the body but Bacia is just out of range. Bacia throws an overhand right that lands on Kringle's shoulder, as Kringle tries to avoid the shot. A quick step to the side and Kringle tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bacia misses with a body shot
and Kringle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bacia thinking. Jab from Bacia.
It looks like Kristoph Kringle has been cut. Kringle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kringle was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bacia misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kringle counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Bacia turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bacia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That was a close round but I would say that Kristoph Kringle will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Bacia takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kringle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bacia looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bacia throws a low kick but Kringle avoids it. Bacia misses with a left hand and Kringle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. No joy there for Kringle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Kringle has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Kringle slips under a jab. Bacia lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kringle's sensitive parts. Kringle connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kringle misses with a wild body shot. Bacia tries to counter by closing the distance. Kringle misses with a double jab.
Kringle's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bacia connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kringle scrambles back to his feet.

Kringle bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kringle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bacia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kringle counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bacia fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kringle checks it well. Bacia ducks right into an uppercut from Kringle. Bacia is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kringle throws a nice inside leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kristoph Kringle dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Kringle tries to land a front kick but Bacia steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Bacia in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Bacia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bacia dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bacia scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kringle staying out of range there. Kringle scoring well with a low kick there.

and Kringle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bacia lands a nice shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kristoph Kringle. Well Kringle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
