Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dong Hyun Ma (ranked 5218 p4p, 4092 weight class) and Prince Baxter (ranked 466 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Hyun Ma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Prince Baxter!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baxter moves in looking to clinch but Ma pushes him off.
Ma throwing a counter right hand but Baxter manages to avoid it.

Ma fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Baxter to the ground. Ma is now in Baxter's guard.
Ma stays in close to Baxter's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baxter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baxter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ma got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baxter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ma has managed to get both his arms back between Baxter's legs - danger averted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ma drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Baxter tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ma wants to take Baxter's back but he can't do it this time.

Ma is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Ma has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ma's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Baxter is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Baxter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ma has him pressed against the cage.

Ma closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Baxter's guard.

Baxter is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ma presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Baxter wants to take the fight to the mat but Ma manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baxter controls Ma momentarily but Ma frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dong Hyun Ma.
I think Ma has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
