Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Chellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaz Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven Chellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaz Fujita! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fujita shoots in but Chellis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fujita misses with a takedown attempt - Chellis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fujita shoots for a double leg takedown but Chellis sprawls well. He's pushed Fujita's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Steven Chellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaz Fujita. Fujita tries to clinch but Chellis moves out of range. Fujita throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Chellis's head. Fujita shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chellis is rocked! Fujita throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Oh Chellis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fujita sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chellis defending well though. Chellis seems to have got his legs back now. Fujita looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fujita working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Chellis's thigh. Chellis counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chellis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chellis prevents Fujita from improving his position. Fujita has a hand on Chellis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Chellis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Chellis trying to control but Fujita is having none of it. Chellis thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chellis is working for a guillotine from mount but Fujita frees his head quite easily.
Chellis is going olschool here, as he tries to force Fujita to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fujita shrugs it off. Fujita wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chellis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fujita blocking the ground and pound. Chellis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Fujita tries to lock up and control but Chellis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Chellis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fujita is looking to escape. Fujita is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaz Fujita dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fujita shoots in for a double leg but Chellis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fujita is looking to clinch but Chellis is avoiding it.
No luck for Chellis with that takedown attempt. Chellis clinches up with Fujita and pushes him back against the cage. Fujita using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Fujita breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Chellis has a takedown stuffed. Chellis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fujita but Fujita pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Chellis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chellis is looking to clinch but Fujita is avoiding it.
Fujita drops Chellis with a left and a right! Oh, Chellis is hurt - Fujita dives into side control looking to finish!
Chellis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fujita. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The strikes coming from Fujita are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujita creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chellis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Chellis manages to get back to half guard. Chellis wants to improve his position but Fujita is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chellis tries to get to full guard but Fujita has control of the leg. Fujita missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Chellis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fujita takes the fight into the clinch. Chellis is trying to maintain a safe position but Fujita gets an underhook and turns Chellis into the cage. Fujita tries to score a body lock takedown but Chellis shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fujita drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chellis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujita trying to stall but Chellis improves his position.
Fujita breaks from the clinch.
Fujita moves in looking to clinch but Chellis pushes him off. Chellis drives through with a takedown into guard. Chellis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chellis postures up and lands a big shot to Fujita's brow. Fujita preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Chellis stands up and waves to Fujita to follow him. Chellis shoots in for a double leg but Fujita sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Steven Chellis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fujita misses with a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Fujita. No joy for Chellis on that attempt. Chellis stuffs the takedown. Fujita rushes Chellis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chellis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fujita is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Fujita lands a knee to the head.

Chellis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fujita just stands there and leans against the cage. Chellis is trying to break the clinch but Fujita has him pressed against the cage. Fujita connects with a nasty looking knee right to Chellis's face.

The is referee keeping an eye on Fujita - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaz Fujita showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fujita stops Chellis from standing up. Fujita thows a big elbow that misses. Chellis striking off his back but it's not causing Fujita any problems. Chellis keeping moving, preventing Fujita from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fujita shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fujita tries to clinch and Chellis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Fujita breaks from the clinch.
Fujita darts in trying to clinch and Chellis counters with a nice double leg into guard. Chellis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Chellis passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chellis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fujita keeps working. Fujita prevents Chellis from improving position. Chellis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fujita sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fujita tries to buck Chellis off but Chellis is having none of it. Chellis trying to control the position but Fujita is working away. Chellis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fujita has escaped the position, nice work there. Steven Chellis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kaz Fujita is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chellis throwing shots but missing, from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Steven Chellis showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fujita has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
