Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joachim Murat (ranked 2715 p4p, 3503 weight class) and Du Klippt (ranked 201 p4p, 245 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joachim Murat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Du Klippt! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klippt throws a jab but it's blocked by Murat. Murat shoots in but no luck this time. Klippt scores with a punch to the head. Klippt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murat. Murat circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Murat fails with the takedown and Klippt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Klippt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Murat. Murat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Klippt counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joachim Murat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Klippt ducks under a wild hook from Murat. Klippt looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Klippt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Klippt tries to sprawl but Murat drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murat wants to pass to mount but Klippt is defending the position. Murat content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Klippt tries to get to full guard but Murat has control of the leg. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Klippt can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klippt controlling the position for now. Murat is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Murat missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Klippt is trying to get back to full guard. Klippt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Murat lands a nice short elbow. Klippt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Murat passes to full mount! Murat is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Klippt is surviving well by controlling Murat's body position as best he can. Murat with a couple of short strikes. Murat wants to control the pace but Klippt is squirming around nicely. Klippt is desperately trying to improve his position but Murat has a good base and remains in mount. Murat looking to control but Klippt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klippt is looking to get to half guard. Murat lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Klippt is wriggling around trying to escape.

Klippt is rocked! Murat looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Klippt covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joachim Murat! An out of breath Joachim Murat thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Du Klippt was interviewed post fight and said 'Unfortunate loss today, I’m going to work harder than ever and come back stronger than ever, I will be champion one day.'.
