0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, johnny money! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! money misses with a body kick. money shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Punahilkka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. money must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. money wants to stand but Punahilkka has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Punahilkka has control of money's left arm, preventing money from doing any damage. money postures up.
money really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Punahilkka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. money wants to stand and escape but instead Punahilkka has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. money is looking to stand up but Punahilkka isn't so interested in that idea. Punahilkka tries to score a body lock takedown but money shows good agility there to stay on his feet. money is trying to break the clinch but Punahilkka is controlling him. Punahilkka dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. money has hold of one of Punahilkka's legs. Punahilkka is fighting the takedown attempt but money gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. money wants to stand but Punahilkka is controlling his posture from full guard. Punahilkka controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Punahilkka stands up over money, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if money can do anything to dispel that myth. Punahilkka trying to control but money is having none of it. Punahilkka lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Punahilkka takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. money looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Punahilkka is fending him off so far but money persists. Nope, Punahilkka circles away and we're back to standing. money stuffs the takedown. money will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Punahilkka keeps the fight on the outside. Punahilkka tries to bum rush money with a series of wild strikes but money uses good footwork to avoid the assault. money misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Punahilkka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and money counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. money prevents Punahilkka from improving his position. Punahilkka wants to control but money is keeping busy and won't allow it. Punahilkka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Punahilkka throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
