Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23281 p4p, 23560 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higanti Libat could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Way Nada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 44 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 42 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Nada closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Libat did well to prevent Nada getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nada in particular looking to stall.
Nada wants to control but Libat is keeping him busy.
Libat keeping control of the position.
Libat has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nada not doing much here.

Libat is concentrating on defense, preventing Nada from advancing position.
Nada with the ground and pound but Libat uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Nada looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Libat!

You can see the frustration on Libat's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No luck for Libat with that takedown attempt.
Nada steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Libat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Libat wants it to stay on the feet.

Nada gets a takedown into half guard.
Libat is trying is best to control the position here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nada is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Libat has managed to free his arm - good work.

Nada throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Libat was covering up waiting for the punch and Nada finishes the takedown easily into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nada slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Libat not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nada is defended easily by Libat.

Libat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nada defends it nicely.
Nada steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nada fails with the takedown.

Nada seems keen to control Libat's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Way Nada will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Nada will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nada closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Libat desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Libat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nada is thwarting Libat's attempts to control the position.

Libat is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Nada is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Nada is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Nada seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nada closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Libat quickly recovers to half guard.

Libat tries to roll over but Nada keeps him under control.
Way Nada has got the better of the ground game so far.
Libat wants to control but Nada is keeping busy.
Libat controlling the position well.
Libat continues to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nada is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Higanti Libat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Way Nada is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
