Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adolis Perez (ranked 3232 p4p, 3222 weight class) and Isiah Ross (ranked 392 p4p, 391 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Isiah Ross!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adolis Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Perez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ross moves away.

Ross takes the fight into the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perez.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Perez struggles to land a body shot inside as Ross controls his hands.
Perez can't find room to land a body shot as Ross controls the action.
Perez swings wildly with an uppercut but Ross uses good head movement to avoid it.

Perez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Perez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ross throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Perez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Perez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ross's hands.
Perez misses with a looping right.
Perez throws a big shot that misses.
A left lands for Perez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perez looks to score with a jab to the body but Ross is just out of range.
Ross looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Donk. Perez catches Ross right on the button with a cross.
Ross moves out of range of the strikes.

Perez thuds his right hand into Ross's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ross tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Perez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Perez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ross throws out a counter right but Perez avoids it with no problem.
Perez throws a body punch but Ross moves out of range.
Perez throws a shot from downtown. Ross moves away and avoids it.
Perez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ross counters with a left to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ross. Perez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Perez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ross moves out of range as Perez strikes.
Perez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Ross to counter with a crisp jab.
Ross avoids the body shot from Perez.
Ross looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ross clinches.
Ross is pushing Perez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Perez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ross's elbow.
Perez scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ross is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Perez is keeping busy.

Perez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ross!

and Ross counters with a nice body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ross has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ross uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Perez.

and Ross counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ross wants to clinch up but Perez keeps it at a distance.
Perez jabs Ross right on the nose. Ross blinks but takes it well.
Ross throws a combination. Perez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Ross wants to clinch up but Perez keeps it at a distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perez throws a big shot that misses.
Ross is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Perez with a body shot.

Ross pushes Perez up against the cage in a clinch.
Ross lands with a light punch inside.
Perez misses with some punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Adolis Perez will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Perez throws a lazy uppercut
and Ross cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ross slips under a jab.
Ross scores with a three punch combo!
Ross connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Perez is rocked!
Ross closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Perez! Ross dives in looking to finish! Perez is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isiah Ross!
