Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Spotwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Liddell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX. Jerry Spotwood is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Spotwood! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddell wants it to stay on the feet. Spotwood blocks a jab. Spotwood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddell tries to avoid it but Spotwood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddell to the ground. Liddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Spotwood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Liddell avoids it really well and circles away. Charlie Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Spotwood. Spotwood moves away from the strike by Liddell. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spotwood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell throws a hook but Spotwood avoids it easily. No luck for Spotwood with that takedown attempt. Spotwood darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position. Spotwood throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. That's two minutes gone in the round. Spotwood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Liddell keeps working. Spotwood is looking to advance position but Liddell won't allow it. Spotwood throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Liddell misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spotwood slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Spotwood changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liddell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Liddell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spotwood on the ground. Liddell wants to control but Spotwood postures up. Spotwood is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liddell has escaped the position, nice work there. Spotwood wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddell, who protects the arm well.
