Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Jerman Christ (ranked 2409 p4p, 3397 weight class) and Sonny Day (ranked 278 p4p, 370 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sonny Day was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Christ throws a left and a right that both miss
and Day counters with a left to the body.
Day throws a combination that misses
and Christ counters with a nice body shot.
Day throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Day checks a low kick from Christ.
Christ moves out of range of the leg kick from Day.
Christ throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Day makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Day slips a jab and a cross from Christ.
Day throws a body punch but Christ moves out of range.

Sonny Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day wants to break free but Christ has control.

Christ's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Christ uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Day throws the left hand but Christ avoids the punch easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jerman Christ will probably get the nod.

Christ lands a nice hook to Day's body. Day takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Christ looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Day throws a head kick that misses.
Christ goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Christ lands a glancing blow to the side of Day's head.
Christ dodges the punch combination from Day.
Christ seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Day throws a hook to the side of Christ's head but Christ sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Christ is looking to counter with a body kick.
Day pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Day punishes Christ's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Day misses with a left hand
and Christ counters with a straight right hand.
Day is rocked!
Christ cracks Day with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Day is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Day is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Day could not beat the count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jerman Christ!
After the fight, Jerman Christ was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
