Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Rice looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Rice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Rose! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rice takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Rose tries to clinch but Rice is having none of it. Rice shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rose's guard. Rice stopping the sweep attempt from Rose. Rose working for a triangle but Rice defends it easily.
Rose working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rice has passed into half guard!
Rose should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Still in half guard, Rice seems content to control. Rose looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose trying to control but Rice postures up.
Rose is trying to get back to full guard. Rose is refusing to be controlled, as Rice sits in half guard. Rice working over Rose with some ground and pound. Rose looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Rice wants to control but Rose is keeping him busy. Rice scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rice passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rose! Rose is looking to get to half guard. Rose looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rice is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rose is surviving well by controlling Rice's body position as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice trying to control but Rose is having none of it. Rose tries to lock up and control but Rice gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rice looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rice seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rose for as long as he can get away with. Rose can't escape the position.
Rice takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rose regains half guard. Rose trying to hold on to Rice's head to control him but Rice postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rice controlling the action here. Rice prevents Rose from improving his position. Rice perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rice has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's five minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ray Rice just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Rice rushes Rose and presses him up against the cage. Rice lands with a left to the head. Rice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rose avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rice creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Rice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rice forces Rose back against the cage and clinches. Rice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rice lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A jab from Rice does it's job there. Rose throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rice lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rice clinches. A short uppercut from Rice. Rice is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rose can't fight it off and eventually Rice manages to take the fight to the floor. Rose looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rice sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Rice trying to control but Rose is working from the bottom. Rice stands up from guard. Let's bang! Rose misses with a takedown attempt and Rice counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rice trying to control the position from guard on top but Rose is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Rose has his foot on Rice's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rice works his way back into a safe position though. Rose is looking to stand up but Rice isn't so interested in that idea. Rose is trying to control the position but Rice postures up. Rice wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving. Rose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rice stands and steps away. Rose gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rose throws a sloppy head kick and Rice moves out of range easily. An inside leg kick from Rice misses. A swing and a miss from Rose. Rice lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Rose throws a head kick but Rice moves out of range.
Rose takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A bone on bone clash there as Rose blocks the leg kick.
Rice throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rose clinches but Rice breaks the clinch and Rice counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rose won't be happy with that. Rose is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rice off and has taken his back! Rose biding his time, looking for the opening.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Rice trying to control the action but Rose just sinks the hooks in. Rose is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rice is defending well though. Rose let's go of the attempt for now. Rose has got his arm under Rice's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Rice has spun round into Rose's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Rose looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rice has picked Rose up and slammed him! Rose can't keep hold of the triangle and Rice manages to pass to side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Rice showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rice has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
