Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Messing (ranked 2187 p4p, 2220 weight class) and Cactus Jack (ranked 237 p4p, 239 weight class). Cactus Jack is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gerard Messing! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Cactus Jack! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Messing misses. Messing displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jack. Messing throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jack sees it coming and avoids it easily. Messing throws a jab when Jack was well out of range. Jack has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Messing is landing a low percentage of strikes. Jack looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jack is thwarting Messing's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack passes the guard and advances to mount! Jack is landing with some decent strikes but Messing is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
It looks like Gerard Messing has been cut. Messing is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jack is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Messing can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Messing is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Jack locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Messing is forced to tap!
