Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hani Khasawneh (ranked 4040 p4p, 3973 weight class) and Evaristo Da Costa (ranked 197 p4p, 195 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hani Khasawneh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evaristo Da Costa! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khasawneh has taken the fight to the clinch.
Da Costa blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Khasawneh breaks the clinch.
Khasawneh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Da Costa connects with an inside leg kick. Khasawneh throws a leg kick but Da Costa checks it. Khasawneh goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Da Costa shoots in for a takedown but Khasawneh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Khasawneh on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khasawneh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Khasawneh showed some decent athleticism there. Khasawneh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Da Costa on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Da Costa tries to roll over but Khasawneh keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khasawneh is stalling here. Da Costa is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Khasawneh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Da Costa has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Khasawneh is looking to get back to his feet here but Da Costa is keeping cool and he's managed to take Khasawneh's back. Khasawneh can't escape the position.
Da Costa has managed to slip his arm under Khasawneh's chin. This could be all over... yep, Khasawneh is tapping out! Submission win for Da Costa.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Evaristo Da Costa! In his post fight interview, Evaristo Da Costa started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
