The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrovic tries to clinch but Hughes is having none of it.
Hughes looking to score a takedown here. Petrovic is defending well but Hughes drives through and ends up in Petrovic's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hughes works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Petrovic is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Hughes has latched onto it... Big trouble! Hughes pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Petrovic is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Hughes!
