Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Huey Freeman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eaton Cox!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman tried to score with a low kick but Cox checks it.
Cox throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Freeman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Freeman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Cox throws a lazy right hand but Freeman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cox throws a jab when Freeman was well out of range.
Cox throws a right and a left that both miss.
Freeman shoots in looking for a takedown. Cox tries to sprawl out of it but Freeman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cox thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Freeman's head.
Freeman tries to kick Cox off but Cox keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cox is working for a submission of some sort.
Freeman is trying to stand up here but Cox is controlling him well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cox stalling away here and it's allowed Freeman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Freeman throws a jab but it's blocked by Cox.

Freeman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cox napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cox is looking for a sweep.

Freeman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cox, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cox might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Freeman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cox breaks Freeman's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Freeman wants to stand but Cox is controlling the position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Freeman moves away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Freeman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cox's guard.

Cox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Freeman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Freeman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Freeman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cox is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cox is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Freeman off and has taken his back!

Freeman is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cox gets his way!

Cox is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Freeman won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Cox off his unconscious opponent!
