Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ibrahim Amrani (ranked 1737 p4p, 2105 weight class) and Matija Maestro (ranked 150 p4p, 169 weight class). Matija Maestro has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 2, fighting out of London, Ibrahim Amrani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Matija Maestro!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maestro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Amrani did well to prevent Maestro getting side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Amrani or perhaps it was just good defense by Maestro, which made it look bad.

Amrani throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maestro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Amrani is in Maestro's guard.

Maestro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Amrani throws an elbow that misses. Maestro uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Amrani's guard. Nice move by Maestro!

Maestro manages to reverse the position and now he's in Amrani's guard. Nice work there by Maestro.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ibrahim Amrani will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


A momentary lapse in concentration from Maestro enables Amrani to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maestro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Amrani postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Amrani might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Amrani stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Maestro has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Amrani manages to get his head free but now Maestro has transitioned to an armbar! Amrani grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Maestro! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Matija Maestro!
