Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23567 p4p, 23588 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 41 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 40 - 34 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mibangon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Buut to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mibangon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mibangon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buut is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut is fighting to break Mibangon's control of his arms but Mibangon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut content to stall in guard here. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mibangon trying to control the position here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buut as he jumps to the side. Mibangon dives in and grabs Buut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes down on Mibangon's head and hops out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mibangon circles away. Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Buut avoids it. Buut slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buut lands a front kick. Buut drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mibangon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Buut sitting in guard here, content to control. Mibangon striking off his back but it's not causing Buut any problems. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mibangon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Buut fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon avoids it really well and circles away. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Buut closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Mibangon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mibangon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Mibangon seems a little lost for a moment, as Buut dominates the positioning. Buut wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mibangon keeps working. Mibangon is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. What's Mibangon going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Mibangon counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Buut stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon shoots and misses and Buut makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mibangon really felt that one! Buut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mibangon but Mibangon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mibangon appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mibangon is looking to counter with a body kick. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Mibangon shoots in and bounces Buut off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut trying to control the position.
Buut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Buut shoots in for a double leg but Mibangon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mibangon as he avoids it easily. Mibangon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard. Buut controlling the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon prevents Buut from improving his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mibangon in particular looking to stall. Buut wants to control but Mibangon is keeping busy.
Mibangon is figuring out what he wants to do next. Buut is looking to control Mibangon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buut avoid being mounted?
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Buut with the counter takedown but Mibangon avoids it easily. Buut closes the distance and clinches up with Mibangon, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes Mibangon against the cage but Mibangon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mibangon looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Mibangon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is holding Mibangon down, trying to stall. Mibangon controls the position. Buut wants to control but Mibangon postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buut tries to buck Mibangon off but Mibangon is having none of it. Buut wants to control but Mibangon postures up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Minatay Mibangon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walay Buut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Buut tries to bench press Mibangon off him but Mibangon keeps the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Buut napping and manages to drive through into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
