Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Lindsey (ranked 5554 p4p, 4430 weight class) and Janis Beluna (ranked 299 p4p, 226 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Lindsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janis Beluna! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindsey rushes Beluna and presses him up against the cage. Lindsey is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beluna is defending well. Lindsey turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! You can see the frustration on Beluna's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lindsey stands up. Lindsey throws a series of punches but Beluna moves out of range. Lindsey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Beluna appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Lindsey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lindsey misses with a body kick. Beluna has his takedown stuffed and Lindsey counters with a straight right hand. Beluna looks winded! Beluna closes the distance and clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lindsey has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Beluna after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trevor Lindsey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lindsey pushes Beluna back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Lindsey trying to control the position but instead, Beluna has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lindsey into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindsey tries to break free but Beluna pushes him back against the cage. Lindsey lands a nice knee to the body. Lindsey pressing his opponent against the cage. Lindsey has Beluna pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lindsey pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Beluna tumbling to the mat - Lindsey dives into Beluna's guard. Beluna working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lindsey. Lindsey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beluna is proving hard to escape from. Lindsey wants to control from the top but Beluna keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lindsey with a flurry of punches that miss. Lindsey trying to stand up but can't free himself from Beluna's guard. Lindsey tries to free his leg and advance position but Beluna is retaining full guard. Beluna is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lindsey defends well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lindsey moves into the clinch successfully.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Lindsey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lindsey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Beluna keeping moving, preventing Lindsey from controlling successfully. Lindsey sitting in guard, not really doing much. Beluna working for submissions but it's allowed Lindsey to get to half guard.
Lindsey wants to take a breather but Beluna is having none of it. Lindsey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lindsey passes to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lindsey trying to control but Beluna is having none of it. Lindsey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lindsey tries to control but Beluna wriggling away.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Lindsey lands a big elbow. Lindsey trying to control but Beluna is having none of it. Lindsey throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Lindsey content just to control the position here. Lindsey working for a submission but Beluna is keeping him at bay. Lindsey trying to control but Beluna is having none of it. Beluna is looking to get to half guard.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Lindsey dominating with strikes here. Lindsey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Beluna looks a forlorn figure.
Lindsey tries to control but Beluna wriggling away. Lindsey lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Lindsey swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Trevor Lindsey! Trevor Lindsey bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
