Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pok Shoy (ranked 5372 p4p, 24996 weight class) and Hans Bremmer (ranked 279 p4p, 367 weight class). Hans Bremmer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pok Shoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hans Bremmer! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoy ducks under a wild hook from Bremmer. Shoy attempts a counter takedown but Bremmer avoids it well and moves away. Shoy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bremmer. Shoy tries to counter with a takedown but Bremmer is quick to defend against it. Bremmer throws a hook but Shoy avoids it easily. Bremmer lands a lovely overhand right. Bremmer throws a jab but it's blocked by Shoy. Bremmer throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bremmer wants to get back to full guard. Shoy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bremmer tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Shoy has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Shoy seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Bremmer is holding on tight.

Shoy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Shoy works his foot free and advances to mount. Shoy tries to control but Bremmer wriggling away.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shoy controls the position. Shoy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
