Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anti Happy (ranked 2272 p4p, 2201 weight class) and Keir Toal (ranked 169 p4p, 164 weight class). Happy comes to the cage accompanied by Bvana iz lagune & Mikri Maus - AntiHepi. Toal has chosen Irish Pub Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anti Happy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keir Toal!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Toal.
Toal thows a left - swing and a miss!

Toal moves into the clinch.
Toal misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Toal lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Happy backwards.

Happy jumps guard and drags Toal to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Happy looking for a guillotine here but Toal defends easily.

Happy has an active guard here but Toal has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Happy wants to improve his position but Toal is controlling well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Toal working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Happy tries to roll over but Toal keeps him under control.
Toal thows a huge punch but Happy dodges it nicely.

Happy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Toal lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toal wants to control from the top but Happy keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Happy has momentary wrist control but Toal slips an elbow through the middle.
Happy keeping moving, preventing Toal from controlling successfully.
Toal looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Happy is looking for a triangle but Toal pushes his legs off easily.

Happy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Toal has picked Happy up and slammed him! Happy can't keep hold of the triangle and Toal manages to pass to side control!
Happy is looking to regain half guard here but Toal keeps moving and retains side control.

Toal wants to control the pace but Happy is squirming around nicely.

Toal is keen to just control but Happy is a slippery customer.

Toal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Happy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Toal has managed to get both his arms back between Happy's legs - danger averted.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Happy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Happy is defended easily by Toal.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Toal! But no joy.
Happy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Toal leaves Happy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Happy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Happy tries a head kick but it misses.
A shot to the liver by Happy. Beautiful body shot.
Happy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Toal looks to score with a jab to the body but Happy is just out of range.

Toal throws a hook but Happy blocks it.
Happy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toal tries to avoid it but Happy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toal to the ground. Toal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Toal doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anti Happy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Toal throws a body punch but Happy moves out of range.
Happy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Toal defends well and Happy ends up having to push Toal into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Toal throws a punch but it's blocked by Happy.
Happy fails to pull guard.

Toal scores with a shot to the side of Happy's head.

Happy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Toal can't fight it off and eventually Happy manages to take the fight to the floor. Toal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Happy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Toal manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Happy has Toal in his guard.

Toal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Happy trying to control the position.
Toal working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Happy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Toal wants to control from the top but Happy keeps moving.
Toal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Happy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Toal takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Toal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Toal is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Happy tries to get to full guard but Toal has control of the leg.

Keir Toal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Happy throws a big shot that misses.
Toal throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Happy counters with a takedown into side control.

Toal sneaks out the side door and pushes Happy away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Happy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Toal avoids it really well and circles away.
Toal lands a slapping body shot.
Happy blocks a leg kick.
Toal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Happy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Toal leaves Happy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Happy shoots in but no luck this time.

Toal fails with an attempt to clinch.
Happy on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Toal lands with a slapping head kick.
Happy fails with the takedown.
Happy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Toal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Happy somewhat.
Toal looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Toal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Toal displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Happy.
Happy with a nice cross.
Nice takedown defense from Toal. No joy for Happy on that attempt.
Happy takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Happy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Toal as he jumps to the side.

enabling Toal to counter with a crisp jab.
Keir Toal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Toal fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Toal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Happy's head backwards.
Keir Toal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toal swings for the body but Happy moves out of range.

Toal pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Happy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Toal is fending him off so far but Happy persists. Nope, Toal circles away and we're back to standing.
Happy takes a swing at Toal's ribcage but misses.
Toal avoids the head kick by Happy.
Toal looks to land a left hand but Happy moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Toal throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Happy tries to counter with a takedown but Toal is quick to defend against it.
Toal throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Toal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Happy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Toal misses with a body shot.
Happy walks into a straight right hand from Toal.
Happy staying out of range there.
Anti Happy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Happy.
Toal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Happy was well out of range. Poor timing from Toal.
Happy throws a series of strikes that have Toal backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Happy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Happy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Happy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

And that's the end of the fight!
Keir Toal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Toal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
