PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 5711 p4p, 2006 weight class) and Dogo Musaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dogo Musaga was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 238 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dogo Musaga!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lei looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Musaga thumps Lei with a low kick.
Lei on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Musaga buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Good exchange - Musaga coming out on top.
Lei takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lei takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Lei takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Lei is rocked!
Musaga throws a quick inside leg kick.
Oh Lei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Musaga fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lei.
Lei has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Musaga.
Musaga connects with a stiff jab that staggers Lei - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dogo Musaga!
After the fight, Dogo Musaga was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Frito Lei spoke after the fight, saying 'I need a drink!'.
